We utilize industry-leading technology.

Modern dentistry is continually developing ways to make your visits fast, easy, comfortable, and better for our environment.
These new advances allow for earlier, less-invasive treatment, which leads to faster healing and better precision for dental procedures.

75% Reduction in Radiation from Older Film X-rays

Our practice is proud to offer digital X-rays.

With this technology, a digital image is taken of your smile with a sensor and uploaded to our computer, where it is immediately accessible. We can also take a snapshot of your entire mouth in one image capture, including both the upper and lower jaws, using panoramic digital X-rays.

These techniques result in 75% less radiation than the older, traditional X-rays. Images develop immediately without wait, and there are no chemicals to pollute the environment.

The Intraoral Camera So We Can See a Closeup of Your Smile

Dr. Kimball works closely with patients to build a bond of teamwork.

One way we bring this about is by using a high-tech machine, our intraoral camera. This incredible device is a tiny video camera that displays a close-up image of your mouth.

You can see for yourself which teeth are healthy and what treatment needs to be done, so you can be included as a participant in dental decisions.

Isolite™ — Making Your Visit More Comfortable

We are excited to offer a new technology that makes dental care a lot more comfortable.

This device is called Isolite. It’s a suction device with a bright light that illuminates the mouth and eliminates any shadows.

Here’s what this means to you:

-You’ll spend about a third less time at your dental visits.

-You won’t get a “drowning” or “gagging” impulse, because there is no saliva buildup.

-Debris won’t be accidentally swallowed since your mouth is continuously being “vacuumed.”

-Your mouth won’t get tired since you won’t need to hold it open yourself during extended treatment.

-The strong illumination helps our team with accuracy.

Effective dentistry requires a dry “field” for the best possible results. The Isolite device keeps teeth and gums dry and usually eliminates the necessity for a cumbersome rubber dam.

Are You Concerned about Having a Tooth Knocked Out?

Roughly 5 million teeth are knocked out yearly in the U.S.

Many sports are dangerous without proper mouth protection. The generic mouthguards found in stores often don’t fit well. Wearing these, it’s difficult to breathe properly while engaging in physical activity during sports. However, custom sports mouthguards fit well, protect very well, and can be worn as protection for any sport.

The American Dental Association recommends the use of custom mouthguards for these sports: basketball, boxing, field hockey, football, gymnastics, hockey, martial arts, racquetball, rugby, skateboarding, skiing, skydiving, soccer, surfing, volleyball, water polo, lifting weights, and wrestling.

Schedule an appointment and we’ll explore a custom mouthguard with you!

Getting Your Smile the Cleanest It Can Be

We utilize the Piezo Scaler™ to help with removing plaque deposits and tartar from your teeth, especially beneath the gums and even in deep pockets with gum disease treatment.

This tool uses vibrations that allow us to remove deposits on your teeth faster than the usual scaling instruments. You won’t believe how clean your teeth feel!

As an added bonus, patients generally find they experience less discomfort with a Piezo Scaler.

Three-Dimensional Dentistry!

We are excited as one of the first dental practices in the area to employ 3-D cone beam CT digital imaging technology.

You might think of this as a three-dimensional X-ray that is much more accurate than older film X-rays, less time-consuming and doing everything with much less radiation.

One big advantage of using cone beam images when evaluating patients and creating treatment options is a dentist’s ability to see the patient’s oral anatomy in 3-D, instead of the flat, two-dimensional images you’re used to seeing. The result of this is much greater precision for all dental treatments, especially implant placement or any oral surgery.

Instrument Sterilization for a Safe Dental Visit

Sterilization is a high priority in our office.

We clean and sterilize all instruments after each use, or single-use tools are used as necessary. Instruments are sterilized with a special machine called an autoclave, which is monitored by an outside independent lab to make sure of the highest level of safety. We take your health very seriously.
